June 6, 2012, Venus, Earth and the Sun aligned. From Earth, one could see Venus cross the solar disc. This is a very rare event. In 2004 I was lucky to view and image such an event, but in 2012 my sky was clouded. I witnessed the event on my ipad through online telescopes elsewhere on the world. I took this screenshot.
